The Living Planet Aquarium

We took Zach to the aquarium today. When we got in the car to go Taylor said "did you get the camera" and I am like "of course" I mean why would we leave with out it we are going out as a family and need pictures to prove to Zach that we did stuff together and that we didn't just keep him home the first years of his life. So we get there pay and go in. I take a picture and the SD card wasn't in the camera so it couldn't save any pictures. I had taken in out to load some pictures on the computer. But, the good news is that we got the annual pass so we will be able to go back and take pictures. We still had a lot of fun. Zach loves giving us fish kisses ever since we got him fish for his birhtday and loves looking and the jelly fish and the octopus. My favorite part of the aquarium is touching the sting rays. The other cool thing they had was shark eggs that they had cut off some of the shell so you can see the little shark embryo eating the yoke, one of them the yoke was gone and it is getting ready to hatch. Zach has a huge love of animals and living things. It is always fun to get to see him interact with something that is alive. He always asks "how are you doing" and wants to kiss everything. He is the sweetest boy.

There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Date Night

Taylor and I went on a date last night. We go out as a family pretty regularly but I always feel guilty leaving the baby after having to leave him to go to work in the afternoons so me and Taylor don't go out just the two of us very often. Taylor's boss from the Showtime USA gave us tickets to go to Showtim Utah for dinner and a show. It is a western place that puts on a little skit and has a few bands that come in and play. The band that was there last night was called Dyer Highway. They were a group of kids that played the fidel, guitar and the madalin. They were pretty dang impressive and we had lots of fun since we dressed up the workers there paid us extra attention and let us go on stage and help with the show. Taylor danced with the can-can "girls" and I went and played a dreamy eyed girl while the boy played a song about how wonderful he is call "lord its hard to be humble." It was fun to go and play like we were back in Texas for a little bit. Put on our cowboiy hats and boots and use our twangy accents for a night.

Playhouse Disney Live

On Saturday, January 31, 2009 Zach and I went to Playhoues Disney Live On Tour. We had so much fun. Zach really enjoys watching the Disney Chanel when I am getting the dishes done or taking a shower. He loves Mickey and Winnie the Pooh. At the show Mickey Mouse was planning a music party so the Postess delivered invitations to all of Mickey's friends. She went to the Little Einsein's who used Rocket and went and found music from around the world to take to the party. Then she went to the hundred acre woods and gave Winnie the Pooh Tigger and Darby their invitation. The played a song with Honey pots and sang a nature song that went "Tweet, Tweet, Ribbit, Ribbit, Buzz, Buzz, Oooooh" Zach love to sing this song along with them and was really cute imitating the animal sounds. Then Handy Manny made a song of Rythms that the tools made and sounded like a bunch of different drums.

Then it was time for intermission and Zach thought the show was over and it was time to go home. He got really sad and started screaming and crying "time to go home" but it wasn't over so I made him stay and once they started singing and dancing again he clamed down some.

Once intermission was over it was time for the music party. We learned the hot dog dance and danced along with mickey and then watched all the characters preform their different songs.

Zach had a really good time and even surprised me a couple days later doing some of the moves they did in the show. He is such a smart boy and loves to sing and dance. It was so much fun for me to see how excited he was when Mickey would come on stage and how even though he is so small could learn the songs they were teaching and have such a blast.

Hill Aerospace Musuem

We just got back from taking Zach to the Hill Aerospace Museum with Taylor's mom and step dad. It is so fun to live close to family and be able to spend time with them. Zach has been on a huge airplane kick. Every time we go our side he says "airplane, airplane" and then if he can't see any he starts yelling "AIRPLANE, AIRPLANE" then he gets mad at me like I can control when they are flying near our house. So when Taylor asked if I thought it would be fun to go to the museum today I was so excited. Zach had a great time looking at the big planes and watching dad play on the simulators. He even got to sit in a little airplane, he liked to sit in it but once you started pushing it and making him fly he would cry. I don't know if he is going to want to be a pilot when he grows up but if he does he'll be a really cute one.
